The official position of JSC «Milk Alliance» regarding the ban on the import of products in Russia and Kazakhstan

14 April 2014

JSC «Milk Alliance» with anxiety and lack of understanding perceived the statement of sanitary services of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan about the violation by Ukrainian dairy producers of requirements of consumers’ rights protection legislation and prohibition of the import of cheese of several Ukrainian companies, including Pyriatyn cheese plant and Zolotonoshskiy butter Plant, which are part of the group.

We officially declare that the products of enterprises JSC «Milk Alliance», including Pyriatyn cheese plant and Zolotonoshskiy butter plant, which is exported to Russia and Kazakhstan, is made in accordance with national and international requirements exclusively from natural cow’s milk without the addition of vegetable fats, antibiotics and preservatives. This is confirmed by repeated inspections of specialists of corresponding Russian and Ukrainian authorities. Moreover, both these enterprises have passed the international certification of ISO and received certificates on the system of food safety management ISO 22000:2007 (HACCP), and Piryatin cheese plant in addition received an international certificate for quality management system DSTU ISO 9001:2009.

Russian and Kazakh markets are very important to us. We appreciate Ukrainian export of cheese to Russia and Kazakhstan at the level of 57 thousand tons per year, and its share in exports is about 33%. We hope that in the nearest future the situation will be clarified and we plan to defend the fair name by all possible ways of socially responsible business. And meanwhile we are looking for ways to enter new markets for our products.

Sergij Kaliberov Chairman of the Board of Directors of «Milk Alliance»
